Preserving Heritage Through Glass: Baltic Art Studio & Jaunimo Centras
At Baltic Art Studio, we believe stained glass is more than just art – it’s a window into history, memory, and identity. That’s why we were honored to assist Jaunimo Centras (Lithuanian Youth Center) in preserving a remarkable piece of Lithuanian-American heritage.
Together, we helped safely remove, transport, and conserve a historic stained glass window created by the renowned Lithuanian artist Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas from a former Lithuanian church in Pennsylvania. The window, rich with sacred imagery and craftsmanship, was at risk of being lost. Now, thanks to the dedication of Jaunimo Centras and support from the Lithuanian community, it will soon find its new home in Chicago.
Our team at Baltic Art Studio provided technical guidance, hands-on support, and professional care to ensure the window was handled with the respect and precision it deserves. This project is not just a restoration – it’s a reconnection with our roots and a gift to future generations.
We are proud to stand with organizations like Jaunimo Centras who work tirelessly to preserve Lithuanian culture and bring its beauty to life here in the United States.
Stay tuned for updates as this beautiful stained glass piece is installed and celebrated in its new home.
